Personal Investigation: The Seven Deadly Sins

Personal Investigation: The Seven Deadly Sins

The reason in which I have chosen this theme is as I have a high interest in supernatural and human nature as a whole. As religion is something we follow and are taught and in some way forced to endure I wanted to focus on aspects that we all experience which contrasts from my personal experience for this theme which not many people don’t experience. I will be looking at how each “Sin” has occurred throughout my life and how I see them from my own personal point of view.

For my Fine-Art Personal Investigation I have decided to Follow the theme of “The Seven Deadly Sins”. Through the making of this theme I intend on using a wide range of medias which I may be used to working alongside to media’s in which I am not familiar in using. By doing his I am allowing myself to gain a better understanding of various media’s as well as show my level of skill that I can bring within the media as well as my ability to manipulate them into a way which suits me and shows my skill off to the best possible quality I can achieve.

I am also going to use a variation of different techniques that I have learned as an artist throughout my time, this may involve past February classic techniques to a more modern set of techniques that involve technology.
My goal with this theme is to show myself through each of these “Sins” and how each of them has taken a toll in my personal life. This theme is also a way of me expressing myself through a time of need and a way of dealing with an life event that has happened to myself therefore makes this theme a personal journey to explore as well as an art based journey.

I will also be taking aspects from my other two subjects, Textiles and Photography which will come into play in some aspects of my work. As a creative student I wanted to further my work by combing all aspects of my skills and talents and bring them together within this theme and allow them to be shown as a whole. Also to show my level of skill within these areas which are more modern based studies and how I can manipulate them to my own standards.
